I am the type of person who will set her alarm for 7 but should it get to 7.01 and I’m still not up, I’ll wait till quarter past. I will start a diet on a Monday and if I mess up during the week, wait till the following Monday to try again. I need structure and routine, I can’t just change things up willy nilly there has to be a set time!
So it is no surprise that I see the New Year as a sort of cleansing process! To forgive myself for all the things I didn’t do the year before and to try again this year.
I have never been the type of person to keep resolutions however, I have set out various goals for the year to give me some drive and focus!
So here it goes….
1.Become self hosted – if you aren’t a blogger yourself, this will mean absolutely nothing to you but it basically means I will have more freedom with my site 🙂
2.Post regularly, and I suppose the best way to do this will be to schedule posts and write some in advance so you lovely lot don’t miss me too much when I accidentally forget to post for a week.
3. Up my photography game! This is a big one and one that will satisfy me beyond belief! I am one snap happy lass but I need to start thinking before I snap.
1.Do more vlogs. I personally love watching real people in their day to day life – This is probably why I enjoy Geordie Shore so much.
2.Come up with interesting and original content – need to get those imagination senses tingling! I feel like wine will help… like why didn’t I beat Matt Bellassai to Whine about it!?
3.Learn more about Youtube and what it has to offer. I am loving the YT Club videos by Veena V at the moment! She is so relatable and easy to watch you forget that you’re actually learning valuable tools.
Social Media Goals:
1.Post regularly! Not just blog links – I hate it when people only post their links, if you don’t interest me as a person why would I go out of my way to read your stuff? This may sound a bit harsh but don’t deny you feel the same!?
2.Grow my following! My main aim in all of this is interaction. I love meeting new people, even if it is in the virtual world. I like nothing more than to spark a conversation with a stranger and become new besties! – Holla!
3.Which leads me onto my third goal; Interact more! In order to get you have to give, so I shall be tweeting, commenting, liking away in order to find that new bestie! (not that my current besties aren’t great LOl soz gals)
1.Pass the exam I failed!!! Grrrr I need to get this one out the way so I can focus on the important one. It’s like a dark cloud that haunts me – BE GONE FOUL EXAM.
2.Grow my knowledge. There is SO much to learn in shipping and I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface.
3.Meet more people in the industry – grow my presence! (There’s a lot of growth going on in these goals.)
(I am just going to point out that there’s a good chance this babeing little blog will get all weddingy in the new year when I start to panic!)
1.Marry my best friend <3 (Naaawwwww grab your sick buckets now guys!)
2.Don’t stress the small stuff. I really just want to enjoy the whole experience! Who cares if the cake falls on my head… No matter what happens on the day, I will still have Jon and we will be married. (Unless something goes terribly wrong… touch some wood quick!!!!)
3.Keep to my budget! It’s so easy to get carried away but I will only regret spending every last penny on one day when we have the rest of our lives together to go on adventures (and we will need some dollar spare for that.)
4.(bonus goal) FIT IN MY DRESS! Since my operation I haven’t stopped eating and obviously I was unable to exercise – Queue weight gain! The thing is I have already purchased my dress and the girl in the shop specifically told me not to get any bigger! Come on ankle, heal quick… I need to hit that gym!!
1.Be happy, healthy and have fun – this was my goal for 2015 and I ended up having an operation and countless meltdowns so let’s hope this one works for 2016!
2.Experience as much as possible!
3.Spend time with the people I love and appreciate every second of it! But also learn to love my own company – take a trip alone and find out what I like! I am a people pleaser so I’d be interested to see what happens when I’m alone, where would I go? What would I do?
So there we have it 2016 goals all wrapped up! Now the fun begins 🙂
Have you got any goals / resolutions? I’d love to see how yours compare!
Peace and love xoxo
